Sending Large File through Yahoo Mail

Previously in my blog I have given you some online services were you can compress your files and send it by email. But what about if you just want to send directly large file without the hassle of compressing the file.

By default most of the email accounts can only send an attachment no larger than 23MB and for larger file like photos, videos  or other big batch file. The good news is if you have a yahoo mail user you can send a file up to 100 mb.

Comes YouSendIt – (they also have their own website) https://www.yousendit.com – has partnered with Yahoo to provide a quick and easy secured way of attaching a larger file up 100 MB which is totally free.

When you sign in to your yahoo account, (I suppose you are not using yahoo classic mail) on the left side of your yahoo mail account look for an icon similar like a paper airplane Attach Large File in the Application box. To start with, just give it click and follow through the instruction to select your file and your message that goes with it.

You don’t have to worry about your recipient’s inbox to handle large attachment is stored in YouSendIt. Once you have uploaded your file and send it to your sender, your recipient will receive a link and once click the files can be downloaded.  The files will be available for downloading for 30 days after you send them.

I hope this solves your problem…. In the next issue I will be discussing online services were we can upload files more than 100 mb….chow for now.
